WELCOME TO THE NEW FIBREWORKS KINGSTON BLOG... we hope you will return often

Our instructors are professional designers and well known craftspersons who come to us by invitation to share their specific skills and knowledge. The participants are professionals, teachers and interested craftspersons, or amateurs wishing to learn and share together for further stimulation and knowledge. Plan to make this year your year to have a creative learning experience at one or more of our FIBREWORKS KINGSTON Weekend Workshops during 2013-2014.

As the line-up plan for our upcoming 2013-2014 Weekend Workshops Series is at final confirmation and the hard copy FIBREWORKS brochure is being prepared for circulation in mid-July 2013, we welcome you to bookmark our new blog to make sure that you have the most current and available information for FIBREWORKS KINGSTON workshops planned for the next year. Links to the artist/Instructor websites and current work are shared on the workshop pages, as well as the specifics of registration for their workshops.

Registration will be by mail to BETHANY GARNER, Fibreworks Weekend Workshops  Coordinator, and the details will be included at the end of each workshop description. A form is provided in the Registration page on the right sidebar for you to print and mail along with your registration payments to Bethany.

Confirmation will be sent after receipt of payment and a supplies list for each workshop will be provided so you can start collecting the required materials needed to be successful in the projects undertaken at each workshop.

Please plan to register soon, as the workshop enrollments are limited and available on a first come basis. We will maintain a "wait list" for interested students and in the case that a registered student cannot attend a paid workshop. While there are no refunds, we are often able to connect you with a student who would love to have the seat in the workshop you are unable to attend.

AND, MORE EXCITING NEWS....

A series of related one and two day workshops will be announced here on the blog that are sponsored by FIBREWORKS throughout the year and are separate from the FIBREWORKS KINGSTON  Weekend Workshops Series. These workshops will be instructed by area artists and craftspersons and designed to excite the participants and support the inventory of techniques participants are able to add to their skills and interest inventory. The workshops may also be designed as "PLAY DATES" to gather friends and share time for working together in a no stress, playful learning environment where friends learn from friends and there is room to spread out and enjoy time together.

Announcements of these play dates will be made here, so register to receive the posts in YOUR mailbox as soon as a new post is up for your information.

We will also share news of local events, exhibitions and meetings of interest for fibre arts enthusiasts in Eastern Ontario. Please tune in for more information.
Hoping to see many of you participating in our Weekend Workshops Series this next year and to be able to meet you as we are all out and about in the community sharing in the exciting world of Fibre ART.

Happy Summer!
