Please join me at the annual INSPIRATION: SUMMER FIBRE ARTS CAMP I will be hosting at the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning, July 23-29th in the Activity Room and Gallery on Level One, and our Tett Centre on the Lake Ontario waterfront.
Students will enjoy FIVE DAYS days of wonderful art play with friends from across Ontario and right here in Kingston... so please feel free to register by using this link, below here:

(or contact Bethany through her email for registration via e-transfer if that is preferred. SEATS ARE LIMITED... so don't wait too long!)
Daily projects Sunday through Thursday, July 23-27th will find the artist friends working on:
DAY ONE: Dyeing cloth using Procion MX Dyes,
DAY TWO: Working on the absolute fun of Deconstructed Screen Printing with thickened dyes, creating exciting new and original prints for their cloth inventory
DAY THREE: Create with Collage Art, and your work may include cloth you dyed on Sunday or plan to bring your choice of fabrics, tools of your choice for layering and design play, and some Matt Medium for layering paper and cloth.
DAY FOUR: DYEING with RUST - the most fun project day using bits and pieces of rusty finds" from your garage, some searches in local barns, found objects, and even some metal pieces hidden in the basement that will provide rust with mordants in our dye/print pots. Stitch play is always so much fun with rusty bits on cloth!
DAY FIVE: Students will continue to play with all of the projects underway on days one - four and on Friday, and/or for fun, we will work on creating hand or machine-pieced Journal Covers with the cloth you have worked on all week. This will hopefully encourage you to enjoy the memories of ART Camp in one or more great referral journals - (5 x 7 journals provided). Please plan to tuck in your sewing machines if possible - you may need them all week, and bring an extension cord!
AND NOW - See below...
Just for fun, the students will be able to add an additional TWO DAYS to our Arts Camp adventure as they join me for an additional two days for:
JAPANESE SHIBORI POLE DYEING and BORO ART
Students who can and would like to stay on for a two-day additional Art Camp session on July 28th and 29th will find themselves immersed in the absolute joy of wrapping, dyeing and painting on some of their dyed cloth (or solid colour, pre-washed fabrics of your choice) using THICKENED DYES as the base cloth for adding dye-painted SHIBORI DESIGNS onto wrapped poles on Day One, July 28th of our additional two camp days...
And on Day Two, July 29th, we will be working to design and create the base cloth for a wonderful BORO ART, collaged fabric handbag... and the tutorial will be shared with registered students before the additional Camp Project on these last two days... COME PLAY!!
PLANNING for just the two days? If you can only attend Camp on the last two days, Friday and Saturday, July 28th and 29th, do try to get your tickets here as the seats are limited...
