(Above): Stand on Guard by Elizabeth Duggan Litch
A Connections Fibre Artists' Exhibit
April 22 - June 4, 2017
Opening Reception
Sunday, April 23, 1:30 to 3:30 pm
In celebration of Canada's 150th, our
Connections Fibre Artists have each chosen artefacts from the Museum's collection to highlight their artworks as they developed stories in cloth and stitch and inspired by Wellington County's past and present.
These art pieces inspire conversations about our STORIES and moments in Canadian History.
"We are pleased to have created works inspired by items from the Museum Archives ," says Elizabeth Duggan Litch, a member of Connections Fibre Artists.
"My piece
Stand on Guard , above, is connected to the Canadian National Anthem, representing the things Canadians nurture and protect."
Do plan a visit between April 22 and June 4, 2017 and bring family and friends.
